GR: Moving into the religion debate, do you think that the human race would be better—do you think that people would be more compassionate and more productive—if religion didn’t exist?
RD: Yes, is the short answer. There’s not a lot of that in the book (Brief Candle in the Dark: My Life in Science
), is there? But I do think that the world would be a better place without religion.
